Dr. Shah is a distinguished medical specialist with double board certifications, making her uniquely qualified to address complex allergic and immunologic disorders.
Dr. Shah completed her rigorous training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Her certifications from both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology are a testament to her extensive knowledge. These certifications require intense examination and rigorous study in understanding the anatomy, physiology, pathology, biochemistry, immunology, diagnosis, and treatment of allergic, immunologic, and medical disorders.
With specialized training and over 18 years in practice , Dr. Shah is highly skilled and experienced in diagnosing and treating allergies, asthma, and related immunological disorders. This includes common conditions such as hay fever, asthma, hives, food allergies, and eczema. Her advanced medical journey involved 11 years of intense study: 6 years of medical school, followed by 3 years of Internal Medicine residency, and an additional 2 years of specialized fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology. She started her extensive medical training by obtaining her medical degree from a prestigious, intense, and competitive 6-year accelerated medical program at University of Missouri Kansas City.
RESIDENCY:
She completed her three-year residency training in Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
FELLOWSHIP in ALLERGY and IMMUNOLOGY:
After residency, she finished a two-year fellowship specialized in training in Allergy and Immunology at RUSH University Medical Center and Rush Children’s Hospital.
She has been in practice for 18 years.
